Classic trails in the Tannheimer Tal

The Tannheimer Tal has become very popular amongst cross-country skiers. Ever since the SKI-TRAIL, one of Europe's biggest cross-country skiing event, the excellent reputation has even gotten better. There are lots of arguments for this region here – from the wonderful landscapes to the location with guaranteed snow (from early December to early April) and other benefits that you enjoy as a guest at Sägerhof.
In total you will find 70km of prepared cross-country ski runs for classic cross-country skiing.
Trail tips for every taste
These cross-country trails are recommended for the classic style:
- Gaichtpass circular trail: this easy 19.2km tour runs past Lake Haldensee. The altitude difference is 60m over the whole tour (no steep ascents).
- SKI-TRAIL circular trail: This tour is in the centre of SKI-TRAIL that takes place every January. It is easy to moderate, but does require a certain level of stamina on 31km. Scenically very appealing as it runs past Lake Vilsalpsee and Lake Haldensee.
- Lake Vilsalpsee circular trail: perfect for quick tours over 12.5km. The altitude difference between the lowest and the highest point is about 70m.
