Barrier-free holidays in spring
Nature awakening and barrier-free activities
Spring on the mountains is a unique experience. Everything is green and radiates in the colours of the trees, flowers and grasses no matter in what direction you look, even if you look up. The Tannheimer Tal is especially spoilt: more than 70 different grasses are indigenous here – that's 10 times as much as in other comparable regions in the Alps.
As soon as the snow is melted the Tannheimer Tal presents itself in all its beauty and diversity. Time for some summer sports. For people with disabilities this region in Tyrol is characterised by hand-bike tours and wheelchair-friendly hikes.
The gravel path around Lake Haldensee is more than one metre wide, no big altitude differences and perfectly suitable for wheelchair users. In addition the Talwanderweg path and other trails through the whole of Tannheimer Tal are also perfectly accessible; e.g. the trails to Lake Vilsalpsee, Stuiben Sennalpe, Rehbach or from Zöblen to Zugspitzblick.
Hand-biking the Tannheimer Tal
From Lake Haldensee there is a perfectly sign-posted and tested 13km hand-bike trail leading to the Vilsfall reservoir. Your access point for this tour is either at Lake Haldensee or directly in Tannheim at Hotel Sägerhof.
Hotel for a barrier-free holiday in spring
Hotel Sägerhof is also perfectly suitable for people with disabilities. From the lobby to the spa area and the rooms – not least during our construction work in the last years - we took extra care of being able to provide ALL guests with a perfect holiday.
Hotel Sägerhof is closed from early April to mid-June. Experience the relatively late spring awakening and send us your no obligation holiday enquiry. We are always available by telephone or e-mail for your wishes and requests – and of course for all questions concerning barrier-free holidays in spring.
