...more for you and your bike!
Autumn holiday in the Tannheimer Tal in Austria
Natural spectacle in Tyrol
A part of the Tannheimer Tal – more precisely the area around Lake Vilsalpsee – is a conservation area and this is very obvious: everyone hiking here will discover a great diversity of flora and fauna that sadly can hardly be found anywhere else anymore. Autumn offers unique lighting conditions and colours.
Hiking in autumn
There are different perceptions when it comes to autumn: some associate it with the end of the summer and other see it as this unique natural spectacle. The later awaits you in the Tannheimer Tal. Around Lake Vilsalpsee this becomes especially apparent. But other places in the valley – around Lake Haldensee, at the Vilsfall reservoir or higher up in the Allgäu Alps – are also worth a hike.
Experience the mountains in a sportive way
The high valley is located at 1,100 meters and manages to satisfy both sports enthusiasts as well as families. There are lots of trails that are suitable for wheelchairs and prams but also summit tours with climbing passages.
Running, mountain biking, nordic walking & co
Endurance sports enthusiasts enjoy the autumn's pleasant temperatures and at the same time many suitable trails. Road racers find more than 22 signposted tours in the region as well as a hand-bike trail. You will also be spoilt for choice when it comes to running and nordic walking paths around Tannheim and the gorgeous Lake Haldensee.
Spa for balance
Even the Tannheimer Tal is not spared from rain every now and then. In this case – or just after an active day – the spa area at Hotel Sägerhof is perfect: with saunas, steam bath, indoor pool, massage offers, Jacuzzi and indoor pool with upstream swimming stimulator it invites you to dwell and unwind. By the way, the spa area – like the rest of the hotel – is barrier-free.
Send us a no obligation holiday enquiry for the autumn months. Hotel Sägerhof is open until early November and offers you not only nature's beauties but also high quality throughout; the cosy restaurant parlour, the spa area, the 4 hotel's own tennis courts or the rooms.
