Summer cable cars in the Tannheimer Tal

The mountain railways in the Tannheimer Tal will take you all the way up without exhausting you before you start your actual hike: the perfect alternative for families, occasional hikers and everyone who wants to experience the summits despite poor strength and stamina in their summer holiday.
Four cable cars operate between the valley and the mountains in the warm month. They offer a welcomed alternative as most of the high alpine hiking trails start up on the mountains and have a lot to offer. During one of these panoramic rides you can skip a big and exhausting part of the trail.
Operating times of the lifts
The cable cars run daily from 8:45am to 4pm (except Neunerköpfle, only from 9am). Summer operations start on 1st May and run until early November. In May, October and November the cable cars do not run in bad weathers. As soon as the cable cars are operating the hosted huts and mountain restaurants open as well.
