The roots of the Sägerhof date back to 1707. It was documented in writing for the first time that a saw-mill was set up at the “two Brugen” (two bridges) in the Tannheimer Valley. After many years of successful operation this sawmill burnt down to the ground. The ‘Hennemühle’ developed in that area. The grand-father of your host Erich Lumpert purchased this business and turned it into a large saw-mill and flour mill.

After Erich Lumpert parents had taken over the mill and the residential property, they quickly recognised the possibilities of the emerging tourism. They let out the first rooms in the summer of 1958. It was in this year that Sägerhof hospitality began. In the five successful decades to date the Lumpert family have created a Tyrolean hotel with a high level of character.
