Balloon weeks - always in the 2nd and 3rd week in January

Every year in January the Tannheimer Valley is the scene for the Ski-Trail. This cross-country skiing event fills recreational athletes, children and professional athletes alike with enthusiasm. Around 1400 cross-country skiers from all over the world race via the border to Germany and back into Tannheim. An exciting programme of supporting events makes for a fantastic atmosphere. Other set dates in the winter season in the Tannheimer valley are the Balloon week, which takes place in the second and third week of January, the Dog Sled races in February and the Gaudi-Touren-Lauf in March.
